Terms of Service & Usage Agreement

Engaging with layzivo—whether through a project inquiry, portfolio review, or direct collaboration—constitutes acceptance of these terms. We operate as a boutique web design studio specializing in PHP-rendered, Tailwind-powered websites for startups and small agencies in Bogotá and beyond.

Our scope is strictly defined by the proposal document. This includes deliverables, revision rounds, and timeline. Any deviation (e.g., adding a bilingual content requirement or local payment integration) triggers a formal change order. We do not engage in "scope creep"—a primary pitfall in our industry that degrades quality and timeline.

Successful delivery requires content readiness. We build frameworks; you provide finalized copy, imagery, and assets. We do not use Lorem ipsum in production. Delays in content provision extend timeline accordingly.

Technical Constraints: We build using PHP, Tailwind CSS, and lightweight JavaScript only. We do not implement heavy CMS platforms (e.g., complex WooCommerce setups) or custom backend logic. Our focus is frontend excellence and render speed. Accessibility is baseline: semantic HTML, focus states, and readable contrast.

• No stock images with text overlays
• No dark mode by default (light theme is standard)
• No progress bars or fake metrics

Payment: 50% deposit to initiate, 50% upon final delivery and handover. We accept local Colombian bank transfers and international payments via Wise. For local clients, we can invoice in COP at the agreed exchange rate.

Intellectual Property: Upon final payment, you own the finished design and code. We retain the right to showcase the work in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials. We do not transfer ownership of reusable components, frameworks, or utility classes.

Revisions: Two rounds of revisions are included in the standard scope. Additional revisions are billed at an hourly rate. We do not rebuild entire pages after approval; changes must be scoped.

Liability: layzivo is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the website. We are not responsible for hosting failures, domain issues, or third-party service outages.

Termination: Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. In such cases, the client pays for work completed to date. Unused deposits are refunded minus administrative costs (15%).

Post-Project: We provide 30 days of bug-fix support for delivered work. After that, we offer maintenance retainers. We do not provide ongoing support without a formal agreement.
